RSA to Replace All SecurID Tokens

Need to be replaced..

The recent hack at EMC’s RSA Security Division sparked off concerns over the security of those who rely on RSA’s tokens for securing their data. Now, in the wake of such concerns, RSA Security intends to doaway with the older tokens, and work towards replacing them fully. RSA’s security systems work on a two-way mode, wherein there are two passwords that are given out, one specifically to the user and which is not known by anyone else. An attack despite this does make it a major cause of worry.

RSA has been making this offer to all its major customers, which include – Bank of America, SAP, among others. Incidentally, the hack attack came close on the heels of RSA delivering a paper advising companies to safeguard their systems from such seasoned attackers.
