Reliance Jio Chat app launched; now available on Android and iOS

Reliance Jio Infocomm has launched a new a new instant messaging app called Jio Chat which is now available for Android and iOS devices. This app will compete with popular apps such as WhatsApp, Line, WeChat and Hike in India.The description on the website reads, "With Jio Chat, you not only get to chat with your near ones but also have video and audio conferencing with them. It also adds in doodles, stickers and emoticons. The app will also have location sharing along with status sharing features. The app will work over mobile data as well as Wi-Fi networks.Contacts will be synced upon downloading the app and free SMS invites can be sent to all. Similar to BBM channels, Jio Chat also offers chat channels which allows users to stay updated about their favorite celebrities, brands or even news as well.
