The popular image edition tool for iOS, Prisma was officially launched for Android devices around midnight yesterday. The app was launched in a closed beta about a week ago. But the developer had to shut down the program after someone posted the APK online saying that he had received all the feedback for an official launch.2016-07-25_095951The app reached all-time popularity among iOS users soon after it was launched. It provides an Instagram-isqe interface where you click a picture and are provided with various filters to apply. These filters are based on the popular art paintings are intricate patterns with no alternative app providing the filters. There are total 26 filters available in the Android app at the time of writing. One important thing to note is the app only works on a data connection and refuses to work otherwise.2016-07-25_100020After applying the filter the app gives options to either post it on Instagram or Facebook with share option to share the image with other apps. The settings of the app give you an option to automatically save the photos applied with filters. There are additional options to save the original image and adding or removing the Prisma watermark to the final images.
