Popcap's upcoming casual tower-defense game Plants vs Zombies 2: It's About Time now has a release date. The company has announced that the game will be coming out in July. As of now, the company hasn't announced which platforms the game will be available for, but it's a safe bet to assume that it will at least come out on the PC and Mac. It's about time!

Plants vs Zombies 2: It's About Time was originally announced back in August 2012 with a rather hilarious press release with quotes from a zombie and a plant.

“Spring is crullest curlie ungood time, and plantz grow dull roots,” noted an unidentified spokesperson, who we guess is a zombie. “So, we are meating you for brainz at yore house. No worry to skedule schedlue plan… we're freee anytime. We'll find you.”

“There was a time we relished a bracing, hearty blend of zombies, in the morning,” said Sonny F. Lower, a representative of the Flora Forever Foundation. “But first, a brisk shower and some strategic pruning are required. Tomorrow is near!”

PopCap has made some of the most well known casual games on the planet, like Plants vs Zombies, Bejeweled, Zuma, Peggle and Bookworm. The company is known of its quirky humour and recognisable art style along with great attention to detail in its games.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns.
