Onida Launch ACs with SIM Card Slots
Now here's something totally "cool".

Onida have done something totally ridiculous. They’ve launched their PreCool lineup of Split Air Conditioners, which actually have SIM card slots and will allow users to switch on/off their ACs with a simple text message to the device. All you need to do is send an SMS saying AC*ON or AC*OFF, and the device will do the rest. So the next time you’re driving home and want your room all cooled for you, this will definitely help you.
AC with SIM Slot. Wait, what?
Or imagine this, you’ve traveled to another country and can’t remember if you switched off your AC before you left or not. You’ll now be able to make sure. Not only that, the PreCool device that comes free with the ACs can be used as a fully functional multimedia phone.
This, while being very convenient, is just weird. However, I expect a lot of people getting drawn to this thanks to the convenience it offers. Now if only someone launched a device that would let people shut their doors and windows with an SMS.
