OnePlus took to its Twitter to put out a 28-second teaser YouTube video. The video starts with a disc-shaped figure with "V2" written on the background with OnePlus label and logo, rotating. The rotation continues for almost 2/3rd of the video and then ends with a message “tune in on 8.25.2016.”With the shape of the disc and the metal centre in the disc, we can guess that the announcement can do something related to budget earphones or a premium offering of the earphones. This is not the first time that OnePlus is launching any audio related products. Right around the launch of OnePlus One, the company launched OnePlus Sliver Bullet earphones as the de-facto earphones that should be used with OnePlus flagship. In addition to the Silver Bullet earphones, OnePlus gave us a choice to buy JBL branded E1+ earphones to be used with the device. The company launched OnePlus OnePlus Icons last year as a new premium offering in place of JBL E1+. Now with the budget offering Silver Bullet earphones out of stock for quite some time after a considerable price hike. We can expect the announcement to do with new "V"ersion "2" earphones that can replace the older generation OnePlus Silver Bullets. We may be wrong, and the company may decide to replace the OnePlus Icons with a new generation refresh, but that is yet to be seen in the announcement. This comes right after the launch of the community build of OxygenOS 3.1.0 for the OnePlus X which brings the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 to the device.
