The devices were first showcased at the MWC 2018 event in Barcelona and we had a chance to get hands-on with the devices. You can check out our first impression videos of the Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 6 (2018).The Nokia 8 Sirocco is inspired by the fancy Nokia 8800 Sirocco, which was released more than a decade ago in 2006. The new Nokia 8 Sirocco carries forward the main elements of the 8800 with a body that is now made of steel (instead of steel armour). The device has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. It also has a 12 MP (wide) + 13 MP (telephoto) camera accompanied by a dual-tone flash. The front-facing unit gets a downgrade with a 5 MP unit as opposed to the 13 MP PDAF unit on the older Nokia 8.
