Nikon Coolpix S810c is an Android-based point and shoot with 12x optical zoom

Nikon announced its latest Coolpix camera sporting Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS - the Coolpix S810c. This is Nikon's second offering in the Android-based smart camera space after the S800c.  The Coolpix S810c will start selling in May for an MRP of $349 or approx Rs 21,000. Nikon Coolpix S810c sports a 1/2.3-inch 16MP BSI CMOS sensor and has bumped up the optical zoom to 12x from 10x that was seen on S800c. The ISO range goes from 125-1600 with ISO 3200 being available only in the Auto mode. On the rear side of the camera you have a 3.7-inch 1229k-dot LCD touchscreen. It supports full HD video shooting mode. Nikon Coolpix S810c is targetted at users who want to share images wirelessly to their social networks or on their mobile devices. When accessing Google Play, users have access to all the apps including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and many other apps where they can share photos and stay connected. Users can surf the web, read their latest emails, browse through their friends’ photos and videos, navigate with maps as well as many other functions offered by Android apps. The built-in Wi-Fi capabilities of the S810c provide a simple way to directly share photos instantly with friends and family. Nikon Coolpix S810c also has an audio out in case you want to listen to music - a very strange feature we believe.
