Tinder is testing the ability for its users to play matchmaker on the dating app. While swiping through potential matches, a small group of users may see the option to share a profile they come across. Tapping the 'share' icon will allow users to send a temporary link via text to a friend and give them the ability to swipe on that shared profile. The link will expire after five clicks or 72 hours, whichever comes first, informs the company in a blog. Users can choose to opt out of having a sharable profile by visiting Discovery Settings."If you swipe on a profile that has been shared with you, your profile may appear in their recommendations - as long as you meet your potential match’s preferences. As always, if you both swipe right, it’s a match!" says the Tinder blog. The company added that the feature will be tested in various markets and may differ in appearance and functionality depending on location.Last year, Tinder introduced premium features to its dating app service. One of the features - called Passport allowed users to change their location to connect with people outside of their local circles, anywhere in the world. The other feature it introduced was 'Rewind' which let users take back the profile that they swiped left (the Tinder way of rejection).Tinder also started putting the 'verified' symbol on some profiles, especially those of notable public figures, celebrities and athletes. There have been strong rumours doing rounds that noted celebs like Hilary Duff and Leonardo DiCaprio are using the dating platform.
