New microscope to replace X-ray glasses, say scientists
A bunch of physicists at the University of California have achieved the unthinkable.

The complex pattern
The microscope, according to a report in LiveScience, can “see details as small as a billionth of a matter – without even using a lens.” The microscope does so by converting patterns that have been reproduced by X-rays coming off surfaces into nano-sized objects (almost as small as one nanometer across, on the scale of a few atoms), all this, using an as yet unnamed and powerful computer programme. The key word here, however is the nano technique - the 'nano-sized engineering' used in the microscope would enable researchers to have access to the microscopic details of materials and objects. Basically, the microscope would assemble the scrambled patterns that come off images.
