Nasscom plans to take 25 Indian startups to Silicon Valley in May

IT industry body Nasscom is planning to take 25 Indian startups to Silicon Valley as part of an attempt to highlight Indian technology entrepreneurship, report the Times of India.  According to the report, "the group will attend two major startup conferences - Collision in Las Vegas and TiEcon in Santa Clara and will visit Stanford University, where they will meet faculty members, and the campuses of Google, Intel and Walmart Labs."  The initiative is called Nasscom Innotrek 2014 and is scheduled from May 11 to 18. Ravi Gururaj, head of the Nasscom Product Council told TOI, tha aim is to make people in US aware of India's emerging technology entrepreneurship, and to provide an immersive experience for the startup founders. Some of the startups on the list are: Global Delight, which makes apps for Apple devices; Chennai-based Contract IQ and Bangalore-based Bookpad, which enables cloud-based document embedding in any web or mobile application.
