MWC 2017: Huawei Watch 2 to arrive in three colours and a cellular version

Thanks to some leaks, we can confirm that Huawei will launch a more sporty smartwatch this year.

Huawei is expected to announce a new smartwatch at MWC in just a couple of days. We have heard that it will have a more sporty theme and now we have some more information around the upcoming smartwatch.A bunch of renders of the upcoming smartwatch have leaked on the internet which confirm previous rumours. According to the leaks, the Huawei watch will arrive in three color versions (black, orange and grey). The renders come from VentureBeat and Evan Blass. huawei-watch-2-simThe upcoming watch seems to be quite big in size, almost as big as the Samsung Gear S3. There is also a possiblity that a cellular version of the watch will be launched as one the images show a SIM tray that goes into the smartwatch. Now Android Wear 2.0 does support standalone capabilities like having its own app store, so it is safe to assume that Huawei will offer an expensive version of the Huawei Watch 2 with LTE. A standard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth version could also be launched.There is no other information around the hardware of the Huawei Watch 2, but all will be revealed on 26 February when the Chinese company will announce the smartwatch with the new dual-camera equipped flagship smartphone P10 and the P10 Plus.Read our complete coverage of the Mobile World Congress 2017
