Image: GamesBond[/caption]Multi-platform gamers (MPG) apparently download fewer games than mobile-only gamers (MOG), but also spend at least twice as much time on those games than MOGs (40 min vs. 20 min). They also account for over 70 percent of the mobile gaming populace. They also spend more on their games, up to 27 percent more apparently.[caption id="attachment_319131" align="aligncenter" width="640"]
Image: GamesBond[/caption]It’s also been revealed that MPGs are mostly male (67 percent), while MOGs are mostly female (54 percent). The younger gamers are also the ones that are most likely to be MPGs.The most popular genres among both types of gamers seems to be multiplayer games. The report is not clear on what exactly classifies as a multiplayer game, however. The second and third places go to action and racing games. Surprisingly, casual and arcade games only manage to find a spot near the bottom of the list.[caption id="attachment_319105" align="aligncenter" width="640"]
Image: GamesBond[/caption]The conclusions of the report are very interesting, to say the least. The fact that casual games aren’t very high up on gamers’ agenda is certainly very curious, but there might be some overlap with multiplayer games. The rest of the findings should make for good reading for developers.
