Moto X (2017) leaks in renders and video; doesn't come with Moto Mod support

Moto X (2017) has leaked out in 3D renders along with a 360-degree video that is likely to be based on the CAD files used by the factory for production. Serial leaker @OnLeaks has been spot on with the leaks in the past, and these renders match up to the blurry shots seen in the wild. The design looks strikingly similar to Moto Z as reported by Android Authority while detailing the fact that this may mark a shift in the design language and philosophy that Lenovo will use for its Moto branded devices.We are not sure if the changed design is a change or mere borrowing of design elements from some product lines in the Moto lineup. However, that is not important, the most important thing to notice in this leak is the absence of connector pins at the back of Moto X. This puts a huge question mark on how the Moto Mod platform will fare in future. Another thing that was seen on the leak is the presence of microUSB and 3.5mm headphone jack making us question the accuracy of the leak. There is no 2.5D screen in addition to this all.
HelloMotoHK dismissed the exclusive leak by saying that the image and video of the device do not depict Moto X or Moto C. also, the device that leaked is a smartphone codenamed 'Cedric' that recently passed the FCC. There is no official comment by Moto or Lenovo so we will have to wait and watch for more leaks and confirmation.
