Microsoft to Release 12 Security Bugfixes
Microsoft will release 12 security patches next week as part of its monthly security rollout.
"Patch Tuesday" is fast approaching and as usual Microsoft has a slew of bug fixes to release.This time around there will over a dozen security bulletins.
The report filed by eEye Security's zero-day flaw tracker states that among the various products and services that are expected to be patched are the Windows operating system, Microsoft Office, Visual Studio, Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) and its security software which consists of the Windows Live OneCare package.
At least four of the bulletins will be labeled "critical," Microsoft's highest severity rating. These are of crucial importance, as any patch marked critical are ones that can be used to take over PCs. These vulnerabilities are also the ones, that are commonly exploited by trojan and virus makers.
