Lenovo does a Xiaomi, announces Air 13 Pro laptop in China

Xiaomi just unveiled its MacBook doppelganger, the Mi Notebook Air, a couple of days back. Not only does it look good it offers a healthy set of specifications at a rather competitive pricing. Following the footsteps of Xiaomi, another Chinese company has announced its iteration of the MacBook.Lenovo has announced the Air 13 Pro laptop which which looks and features specifications very similar to the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air. The Air 13 Pro laptop comes with a 13.3-inch IPS display and is powered by an Intel Core i5-6200U processor. The laptop has 256GB of SSD storage but 4GB of RAM compared to the 8GB on the Mi Notebook Air. For handling graphics the laptop has a 2GB NVIDIA GT940MX graphics card. In terms of weight the laptop weighs 1.29kgs, which is technically almost the same as the Mi Notebook Air.Lenovo has added one distinguished feature which isn't available on the Mi Notebook Air, which is fingerprint recognition. However, Xiaomi does offer the ability to unlock its laptop using the Mi Band 2 via Bluetooth.The Lenovo Air 13 Pro is available for pre-registration in China with a price tag of CNY 4,999 (Rs 52,000 approx), similar to the 13.3-inch version of the Mi Notebook Air. It is expected to go up to CNY 5,499 (Rs 56,000 approx) after the pre-sale time period ends.
