iPhone 7 release date could be longer than expected

While most reports hinted at 16 September as the probable release date for the iPhone 7 after a launch event likely to take place on 7 September, that may not be the case anymore. If a new report is to be believed than the release date is set for 23 September, almost a week later.9To5Mac has got its hands on a detailed retail schedule from AT&T, the US mobile network. The leaked details reveal the additional working schedule for its staff, hinting at 23 September as the date or at least the week the device will go on sale.[caption id="attachment_330220" align="aligncenter" width="640"] Image: 9To5Mac[/caption]If you look at the leaked document, it details how the hours have been reset. The details point out at September 9 and 23  that need merchandising reset hours. This means, according to the report, pre-orders would have been scheduled for 9 September and units could hit stores on 23 September.Earlier, going by the company's behavior, the device was said to go on sale on 16 September. However, if we look in the past, the iPhone 6s went up for pre-order on 19 September and hit stores by 25 September, while the iPhone 6 was launched on 12 September and went on sale a week later on 19 September. This suggests that both dates are possible. However, there is no official word from the company yet.According to a previous report, MacBook Pro lineup is set to get its first major overhaul in over four years now in the bid to help slow down the sliding shares using an older product. The new refreshed notebooks will be slimmer and come with touchscreen strip for function keys. However, the report goes on to say that the MacBook Pros won’t be launched on the same day as the iPhone on 7 September.
