Intex launches new 29-inch HD LED TV for Rs 18,990

Intex Technologies, a manufacturer of IT accessories and mobile phones, has launched the LED 290, its 29-inch Hi-definition LED TV. Expanding its consumer electronics business, the company says that it has designed its latest in the range of LED TVs keeping in mind the needs of Indian consumers. The HD LED TV has been priced  at an affordable Rs 18,990 across India.

The company claims that the LED 2901 television set combines engineering technologies with minimalistic design and can blend into any environment. The new LED TV model features key enhancements including a dynamic contrast of 400000:1 on a native resolution of 1366 x 768. The HD-ready LED TV also offers improved picture quality and enhanced sound.

Smart and affordable

The wide-angle view LED TV, like most television sets these days, comes with USB video playability. It has two HDMI inputs and is compatible with external speakers. Intex says the TV has a short response time of 8ms.

Most importantly, the LED TV is said to be big on power consumption. The LED 2901 also comes with a smart power saving mode to cut down on electricity usage.

Intex’s new LED 2901 also comes with the “Eye Safe T-Matrix” feature that allows for a better TV viewing experience. The TV includes multiple picture mode options including Standard, Movie, PC and Native Mode. It offers optimal picture contrast, colour and sharpness to provide for a vivid viewing experience, says Intex.

In October last year, Intex had unveiled a range of LED and LCD television sets, with sizes varying from 19-inches to 40-inches. The range is priced competitively, with the top of the line model retailing at Rs 31,990 while the most basic one comes with a price tag of Rs 9,490.

The TV models all came equipped with HD-ready technology with video playability. These televisions have at least one USB slot and three HDMI ports.
