Google Play Music finally arrives to India; here's how you get started

Google Play Music, the online music store service powered by Google seems to have arrived in India. Users can visit Google Play Music to buy latest music tracks and albums legally while supporting the artists behind the music. Google also provides Google Play Music subscriptions where users can stream and listen to virtually unlimited (more than 35 million) number of music tracks by paying a monthly fee, is not included in the launch.The general pricing per each song seems to be fixed at Rs 15 while the cost per album ranges from Rs 75 to Rs 150. The music selection seems intact without any geo-locked content in the limited amount where we tested the service.Play Music offers an excellent range of music with the main screen segregating the music collection into different sections. The main screen offers sections like Top Songs, New Releases, Top Albums, Best of Bollywood, Devotional & Spiritual, Indian Pop Hits, Recommended for You, International Music, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi Pop, Ghazals & Sufi, Indian Classical and For the Kids.The music buying experience is similar to the experience offered by Google Play Store where you tap the Buy button to buy the selected track, confirm and authenticate the purchase. Soon after the authentication, Google Play Music offers you the option to listen to the music track and adds a notification in your notifications area.Users had long demanded the launch of Google Play Music in India to enable them to buy music using the convenience of their Google Play powered Android device. This is in favour of users who are not using Apple Music and want to buy music from the major technology ecosystem providers like Apple, Google or Microsoft with multi-platform support. Currently, the service is available on Android, iOS and web browsers.
