Google Photos for iOS updated to support Apple’s Live Photos

Google has rolled out a new update for Google Photos for iOS which introduces support for Live Photos. For those who use the iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus will now be able to save view and organise Live Photos with the app. The update is now available on the App Store.https://twitter.com/googlephotos/status/706921016300273664?ref_src=twsrc%5EtfwOnce updated with Google Photos v1.8.0 for iOS, users will be able to use the Force Touch feature on any image and see them come to life, just as it would while viewing it from iOS 9’s native Photo Gallery. The new update also brings improved app navigation and lets users spend less time flipping hamburger menus. It will also offer reduced cache usage when the device is low on space. Lastly, some of the other features include iPad Split View and iPad Pro support and performance improvements.Recently, Google introduced an update which offered easier editing options, though it was only available for desktop. In addition, the company also updated its Android app and has now been slightly redesigned. Google Photos for Android is now receiving an update that is focused around improving the in-app navigation and also gives users a refreshed design.
