Google Executive Chairman finally on Google+

It's always a little fishy when a company's executives don't use or support their own product. So when Google Executive Chairman, Eric Schmidt didn't get on Google+ upon launch or even right after launch, it didn't paint a very good picture of the social network. He could have just set his profile on private, which is the whole point of Circles, but given that he basically leads and represents the company, he should have been public a long time ago. After all, if a company's own executive doesn't use its product, why should the rest of us?

Chief executive finally using the product

Now Schmidt joins the rank of Google founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin (who usually posts a lot of pictures of skydiving and whales) and finally has a Google+ profile. His first few posts included a tribute to Steve Jobs from CNBC and BusinessWeek. Now, that he is on Google+ though, he needs to be careful what he says on there, mostly because he is the company's representative. The picture he has up there looks as though it was taken 20 years ago and hopefully it's a sign that he'll have some fun with Google+ instead of being completely serious all the time.
