Gingerbread OTA Updates Rolling Out for HTC Desire HD and Incredible S
The promised updates are now being pushed to Europe.

It was announced a while ago, around the time of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, that HTC would be upgrading their Desire lineup of smartphones to Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The Incredible S, which was launched with Android 2.2 FroYo at the very same event, was to be upgradable to Gingerbread as well. Recently, we’ve seen a stable Gingerbread ROM leak for the Desire HD, and Italian Incredible S users get the Gingerbread update Over-the-Air.![Could Doubleshot actually mean 3D?]()

Distributing Gingerbread to all
Now, HTC Europe has confirmed that Gingerbread updates for both the Desire HD and the Incredible S have started rolling out Over-the-Air. The version being rolled out is 2.3.3, and will include HTC Sense of course. HTC also recommends backing up all data before performing the update.
While there’s no news on when the update will reach India, there is a very high possibility of it happening very soon as a global rollout could well be on the cards. Here’s hoping.
