Ever since the original announcement for a BioShock game on the PlayStation Vita back in 2010, there has been no word from either developer Irrational Games, publisher 2K Games or platform holder Sony. When asked about progress on the Vita game over Twitter, game designer Ken Levine has responded that he is still pushing for a BioShock game on the handheld gaming platform.

When asked about it, Levine responded: "I talked to both Sony and 2k about it yesterday. Trying to make a match." When further asked to elaborate, he responded, "Trying to get the 2 companies to sign off."Taking one of these down on my way to work will be fun

In an interview with Polygon back in February, Levine had stated that the Vita BioShock game was in the hands of "business guys". So far, however, there has still been no word on the game. "I have business guys who are talking about it," Levine said. "At this point, until they have something, I can't talk [about it]. It's like any business negotiation. If they can find numbers that work [we'll do it]."

The BioShock series is the spiritual successor to the System Shock series. The franchise, which made its debut on the Xbox 360 and PC back in 2007, has been well known for taking a serious look at plot elements. The first game even attempted to deconstruct a lot of tropes in games that gamers take for granted. The second game was not developed by Irrational, however, and has faced its fair share of criticism. The third game in the series, BioShock Infinite, was released on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC this year and has been widely praised for its look at serious topics such as racism and imperialism.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns.
