Fitbit app now available for Windows Phone users

Windows Phone users waiting to get their hands on fitness-focused accessories will be glad to know that FitBit now has Windows Phone 8.1 support along with a dedicated app. As promised last month, the FitBit app is now available for download on the Windows Phone store. The app is said to be almost identical to its iOS and Android counterparts. It can be paired with Fitbit devices like the Flex or One. The app will then track real time activities and sync data wirelessly with the smart bands. It also lets you key in the food intake to keep a tab on those calories. Interestingly, it also takes advantage of the live tiles. Users can pin the FitBit tile on the start screen and quickly view the step count. The app also lets you set personal goals and send messages to others using Fitbit. Users are also awarded achievement badges and there are leaderboards to keep you motivated. With the tech industry betting big on the wearable health sector, Fitbit is just one of the first apps to launch on Windows Phone. More support will come now that the duck has been broken. Android and iOS users can download the app from  Google Play store and Apple App store, respectively.
