Finally, A Rocket That can Solve its Own Problems!
The Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency are now working on, what they believe to be an intelligent rocket system.


A problem solver!
In process is Epsilon, a three-stage solid fuel rocket suitable for light to medium payloads. These artificial intelligent rocket systems would, unlike their predecessor, be able to perform repair activities on themselves, as also conduct self diagnostics. Automation, to say, isn’t a standalone innovation with this rocket system. Rockets in the past too have been equipped to adjust their trajectories, or evaluate their status. But, the automation stops when it comes to taking decisions. For instance, most of these rockets can effectively notify engineers when something goes wrong, but, will have no clue about the solution.
The new Epsilon rocket, will however, in most cases, be able to fix its own glitches. Experts from the research agency claim that they costs incurred during the Epsilon’s flight will be 25 per cent less than the costs incurred on previous flights.
