Falcon Heavy to liftoff from Kennedy Space Centre in November: Elon Musk

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has announced that the Falcon Heavy rocket will launch in November. However, he did not give a specific date for the launch of the rocket. Tickets are available for those who are interested in attending the launch event at the Kennedy Space Centre's website.[caption id="attachment_4168673" align="alignleft" width="380"]

Falcon Heavy Rocket. SpaceX[/caption]The launch pad 39A, where the Saturn V rocket was launched 45 years ago,  will be the site for the launch. The Falcon Heavy is being tipped to have the potential to send humans to moon and possibly even to Mars as the rocket can lift over double the payload to its nearest competitor.Falcon Heavy's first stage comprises of nine engine cores from three Falcon 9 engines equaling a total of 27 Merlin engines. SpaceX plans on landing all three stages of its rockets, two of them on land and third on the ocean.The viewing locations are dependent on the scheduled launch time and the locations also have to be approved by NASA and the US Air Force.

This announcement comes right after SpaceX signed a deal with Israel’s Space Communications to launch two communication satellites into orbit. Spacecom said it had agreed to pay SpaceX up to $62 million to launch a second satellite, Amos-8, a year later.
