Facebook testing Reaction and dislike button on Messenger

If you thought the Reaction button was a cool idea on Facebook (instead of a boring old "like") then you will be happy to know that it's soon coming to Messenger. The feature is currently available to a couple of users, but for now still seems to be in the testing phase as not too many have received it.The news came from a TechCrunch reader who noticed that Messenger was now showing a user Reactions button.The button that appears on Messenger (for a select few) works similar to its Facebook counterpart. Tapping on the button lets users react to the message by picking from a rather limited list of reactions.Once selected, the reaction is visible to everyone on the chat thread, be it a group or a one-on-one chat. More importantly, there also appears to be a reaction counter against each message. Another important bit here is that the reactions emoji selection even includes a dislike button, which is a first.When contacted by the publication, Facebook told TechCrunch that it is always testing new ways to make Messenger fun and engaging, confirming that it is a new feature, but still on a testing basis.
