Endeavour Just Hours Away From its Final Launch

For those following our reports closely would know that the Endeavour was initially scheduled for a launch on the April 29th, 2011 but, was held back on the discovery of an electrical snag. However, now after the snag being fixed and after the Endeavour has been deemed fit to embark on its mission, all that’s needed is the countdown that’s scheduled to begin soon.

Endeavour is off an experiment of particle physics to the International Space Station (ISS), which is a whopping $2 billion. The Endeavour that was brought in as a replacement to the fateful Challenger spacecraft that perished in the 1986 disaster that ended the lives of all the seven members aboard, has proved to be a successful replacement.

The final mission, will be commanded by Mark Kelly, and will have Pilot Gregory H. Johnson and Mission Specialists Michael Fincke, Greg Chamitoff, Andrew Feustel and European Space Agency astronaut Roberto Vittori, too. Post the 14-day mission, Endeavour will retire in all its glory and will adorn a museum in Los Angeles.
