Bug in Adobe CC for Mac deletes user data

A recently discovered bug in Adobe CC has been found to delete all data on the first folder of a Mac’s root drive. Adobe has already issued a fix for the problem, but if you can’t upgrade, there is a simple workaround. Windows users are currently unaffected.Backblaze, a data backup service first reported this bug when its users started complaining that Backblaze software’s .bzvol folder kept getting wiped. Further investigation revealed that Adobe Creative Cloud (version 3.5.0.206) runs a script on startup that wipes the first folder on your Mac’s root drive. Backblaze was only unlucky that its folder was usually the first folder in the root drive.While Adobe rapidly moved to release a fix for the issue, Backblaze issued an upgrade that created a decoy folder named .aBackblaze. If you’re suffering from this issue, simply create a folder called .aaaa or something like that and you’re sorted. As suggested by Backblaze, you can also enter sudo mkdir /.adobedontdeletemybzvol in Terminal (Finder>Utilities>Terminal) to keep your root directory safe.Who says that software companies don’t have a sense of humour?
