No Flash or Android Apps...

In addition to bringing in a host of new features, it also brought news that may not go down well with some people. According to PCMag, Phones that will run on Blackberry OS 7 will not have Android apps or Flash support.  The reason for lack of Flash support on OS 7, according to Research In Motion executives, is that they are focusing on the new QNX OS which will have Flash support for its web browser.

The executives also added that owners will have to buy new devices in order to experience OS 7. The reason for this is that the new OS will only run on dual-core devices and as of now RIM has no dual-core phones. They also added that in order to counter the idea that RIM is abandoning the Blackberry OS for QNX, it brought forward and promoted a range of features for the new OS 7. Some of the features include hardware graphics acceleration and new sensors, including a compass.
