BioShock Infinite's first story-centric DLC to be a return to Rapture

Irrational Games head Ken Levine has finally revealed some information about the upcoming story-centric DLC for BioShock Infinite. Dubbed Burial At Sea, the DLC is set to take players back to Rapture (the setting of the original BioShock) as both Elizabeth and Booker DeWitt. Levine revealed over a series of tweets that the DLC will feature new weapons and plasmids, but will not be using BioShock’s gameplay system. Instead, it will feature "mostly tweaked Infinite gameplay systems, not [BioShock] 1 systems recreated from scratch."

According to Polygon, the Burial At Sea DLC is set to be divided in two parts. The first part will see players take on the role of Booker DeWitt once again as you explore the city of Rapture before its nosedive into destruction. The second part of the DLC, which will be released at a later date, will have players control Elizabeth. Both parts of Burial At Sea, along with a third story-centric DLC, will be available separately for $15 (Rs 900 approx) and are part of the Season Pass, which is available for $20 (Rs 1,200 approx).

A return to Rapture

BioShock has been quite successful for Irrational. Back in May, it was revealed that the game had shipped more than 3.7 million copies.

One of the many things about BioShock Infinite that was praised by everyone was the interaction between player character Booker and companion Elizabeth. Both the characters offered a nice contrast against each other, with DeWitt’s cynicism and Elizabeth’s optimism. Elizabeth would by no means be an easy character to follow up, but we’ll just have to wait and see what Irrational does with the game’s DLC.
