Battlefield 4 PC beta needs 64-bit Windows

We all know that Battlefield 4 will need quite a hefty system to run it in all of its high-resolution polygonal glory. The PC beta is taking this a step further. To run the Battlefield 4 beta on your PC, you will need to run on a 64-bit version of Windows, developer DICE stated on the official Battlefield blog. However, DICE General Manager Karl Magnus Troedsson has stated that the final release of the game will run on both 32-bit and 64-bit systems.

Battlefield 4's beta can't run on 32-bit systems

Earlier, EA COO Peter Moore had revealed that the Battlefield 4 beta on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC will start on October 1 for those who pre-ordered Battlefield 4, Medal of Honor: Warfighter and are premium members. Everyone else is set to get access to the beta a couple of days later on October 4. The beta will go on till October 15. After everything's over and the dust has settled, we'll see Battlefield 4 hitting store shelves on October 29. The beta will be available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
