Asus ZenFone 5 renders show iPhone X-style rear camera alignment, 18:9 display and one variant might also have 'the notch'

It would seem that the iPhone X notch is inspiring other smartphone makers, and a new report suggests that the Asus ZenFone 5 could be one of them. Alongside this, the phone may also have the iPhone X-like vertically aligned dual-camera system.[caption id="attachment_4341995" align="alignleft" width="380"] Asus Zenphone 5 concept render. Gizmochina[/caption]Though some other renders, first spotted by GizmoChina, have also surfaced showing only a full-screen display without the notch, it could be possible that the ZenFone 5 will have several variants, out of which one might sport the iPhone X-like notch.The full-screen display variant in question could be called as the ZenFone 5 Max according to a report by GizmoChina.[caption id="attachment_4341997" align="alignnone" width="800"] Asus Zenphone 5 concept render. Gizmochina[/caption]The concept render of the alleged ZenFone 5 Max shows an aluminium body and glass panels on both sides. The screen looks to be 5.5-inch in size according to the report and sports an 18:9 bezel-less quad-HD display. The phone should have mid-level specs under the hood such as the Snapdragon 660 SoC, 32 GB storage and 4 GB of RAM. The phone should come with Android Oreo 8.0 out of the box.On the camera front, the phone looks to sport 13 MP + 16 MP dual camera system and the render claims it will provide 3X optical zoom. The phone has a mammoth 5,000 mAh battery as per the render, however, it could be possible that only one variant of the ZenFone 5 may sport it. The fingerprint sensor sits on the back of the device and it would seem that the iPhone X-like notch variant of the phone may also have face recognition software.[caption id="attachment_4341999" align="alignnone" width="800"] Asus Zenphone 5.
