In the quest for better optimized apps for Android, ARM has made their contribution by launching Development Studio – 5 (DS-5) Community Edition for app developers. The new software allows developers to create apps that can run upto four times faster than Java code, due to a tighter integration with ARM processors. The new SDK will also allow apps to be more power efficient by taking full advantage of the instruction sets built into their chipsets.![Paving a way for a better tomorrow]()

The ARM toolkit complements the Android NDK and let’s developers see processor information and also comes with a C, C++ and Assembly graphical debugger that builds on the Android Debug Bridge. The setup is set to be straightforward with seamless integration with Eclipse and Android NDK and SDK. It’s also completely free, which means anyone can simply download it and try their hand at an app. You can find more info on how to go about setting it here.
