Apple releases quick fix for iPhone 6s and 6s Plus battery indicator issue

Apple has finally given an explanation for the nagging battery life indicator on the recently launched iPhone 6s and 6s Plus models. The company commented that the battery life indicator will actually indicate a higher percentage (or remains at certain percentage) when the actual percentage of the charge is much lower. The problem,  according to the Cupertino giant is software-related and it has given a quick fix solution for the same as well.The issue came to light after many users began reporting that their iPhone 6s and 6s Plus models die out much faster than the what the battery indicator showed at the top right corner of the screen. While many assumed that it was a problem with the battery inside the new iPhones, Apple in its support page now tells us that it is aware of the problem and is investigating the issue.However, the company has yet to find a permanent solution as it explained, "If you change the time on your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus manually or change time zones when traveling, you might notice that the battery percentage doesn't update... Apple is aware of this issue and is investigating the cause and a solution."Apple did provide a temporary fix for the same:- Restart your iPhone.- Go to Settings > General > Date & Time and make sure that Set Automatically is turned on.Simply put, it is wise to restart your iPhone once or twice (when in a new timezone) so that it automatically detects the right timezone instead of manually choosing one and messing up the battery indicator.Still then, it is a bit surprising to learn how the two are connected. Also, Apple suggests that you head a service center if the battery issue is not resolved even after the restart.
