Apple likely to be working to bring single sign-in option for authentication in iOS 11.3

iOS 11 on iPad and iPhone. Apple[/caption]According to a report on 9to5Mac, a code suggesting the single sign-in feature has been spotted on the iOS beta 11.3. The new component called SecureChannel suggest that the users will be able to authenticate themselves on a website using the Apple ID. In return, the website will take data from the iCloud account of the user. There is no clarification on what data the websites will take but it is highly likely that the websites will take user's real name and email address using the Apple ID as authentication.The new feature will allow the users to log in to 3rd party website without creating a user ID and password.The report also mentioned about another component that allows users to scan QR code that prompts for Apple ID authentication through the camera app. The use of the feature is not clear yet.The single sign-in feature is already available on the Apple TV. The TV app asks for a single sign-in and lets access multiple apps inside the TV without doing a login for them. Other feature on the iOS 11.3 includes automatically sending user location to emergency services, iPhone battery status indicator and Business Chat.
