Apple iPhone 7: Rashi Peripherals and Beetel Teletech Ltd to offer the iPhone 7 in India from 7 October

Beetel Teletech Limited and Rashi Peripherals have announced that they will offer the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in India starting 7 October this year.Beetel Teletech Limited states that the phone will be available across 2000 stores in North and East India and Rashi Peripherals will make the phone available in over 1000 stores all over India. Neither retailer has revealed the prices of the phones, though Apple has announced that the official pricing will start at Rs 60,000. The distributors haven't commented on the availability and pricing of the Apple Watch Series 2 and AirPods either.The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus were announced at Apple’s September keynote on 7 September, alongside wireless AirPods and the Apple Watch Series 2.The new iPhones feature a brand new, A10 Fusion SoC with 4 cores. The smaller iPhone 7 and the larger iPhone 7 Plus will come with 2GB and 3GB of RAM respectively. The phones also differ on the camera front, with the iPhone 7 featuring a 12MP camera with OIS and the 7 Plus featuring dual 12MP cameras with OIS. The cameras on the 7 Plus will capture images with either a 28mm lens or a 56mm lens, providing up to 2X optical zoom.The iPhones will be available in Rose Gold, Gold, Silver, Black and Jet Black with storage capacities starting at 32GB and going all the way up to 256GB. The Jet Black variant of the phone is a special edition that will not be available in a 32GB capacity.Apple has also discontinued the iPhone 5S, 6 and 6 Plus models in India.Beetel is a subsidiary of Brightstar Corp manufactures, distributes and sells an assortment of media and communication devices.Rashi Peripherals is an IT and mobile distributor in India.
