Ubisoft revealed plans to announce a brand new AAA IP at an investor conference. The details for the upcoming game are sparse, without a screenshot or a name so far. According to information posted on Gamespot, the new IP will have a focus on multiplayer gameplay, with a strong single player component as well. The game is expected to have a great on line experience, but what exactly this will be is not yet known.Ubisoft also used the same conference to reveal the 2017 lineup of title releases.  Of the five big releases scheduled, three are sequels to previous titles. South Park: The Fractured But Whole, Watch Dogs 2 and Ghost Recon Wildlands are confirmed for a release. There is also For Honor, a third person melee fighting game that is slotted for release in this period. For Honour, like the unnamed AAA IP, is also a brand new game.Ubisoft revealed plans for Assasin's Creed titles, and stated that although it was an important franchise, there will not be a new game in the series every year. The announcements were part of Ubisoft reporting 2015-2016 sales figures (PDF). Far Cry Primal and Tom Clancy's the Division have reported better than expected sales. A strong 25% of all sales were back catalog titles. Digital Sales increased by 32%, which is one of the explanations for the strong on line component of the new AAA title expected to be revealed on or before E3 2016.
