Nintendo announces SNES classic edition, to be available from 29 September 2017 for $79.99

Nintendo has announced that it will be launching the Super Nintendo Emulation System (SNES) classic edition. The gaming system will be available from 29 September in North America. The announcement comes about a year after Nintendo announced the launch of the NES classic edition. The SNES classic edition is smaller than the original, but will be compatible with the original controllers. There are two controllers included in the box, which are full sized.The design and colour schemes used are reminiscent of the original systems. The system is a plug and play device, and while there is a design for a cartridge slot, there is no actual cartridge slot. All the games will be pre-loaded on the system, and there are 21 titles as against the 30 titles in the NES classic edition. Users will be able to relive childhood memories of playing the classic titles.The games included are Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, F-Zero, Super Metroid, Street Fighter II, Super Punch-Out, Super Castlevania IV, Donkey Kong, Mega Man X, Kirby Super Star, Final Fantasy III, Kirby's Dream Course, Starfox, Yoshi's Island, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Contra III, Secret of Mana, EarthBound and Super Ghouls n Ghosts. Users will also get to play the never before released StarFox II.
