E3 2017: Activision unveils Call of Duty WWII multiplayer gameplay trailer

Activision at E3 2017 unveiled a multiplayer gameplay trailer of the upcoming Call of Duty WWII squad based tactical first person shooter. Those who attended the expo were among the first to actually play the game, at two PlayStation booths. There are classes in the game, which has to be decided before starting off on a career. Each of these "Divisions" have their own unique abilities and weapons. The divisions are Airborne, Mountain, Infantry, Armoured and Expeditionary Forces.The Airborne division focuses on being silent and stealthy. The Mountain division does damage from a distance, and is a ranged sharpshooter class. The Infantry is the "tip of the spear", and will occupy the frontlines. The Armoured division brings the heaviest firepower, and can tank in tough situations. The Expeditionary Forces use incendiary shells. The combat is expected to take place on air, land and sea. Check out the gameplay trailer below:Raven software has come on board for a brand new mode called a War Mode. The War Mode is an immersive narrative driven multiplayer experience that takes place in iconic World War II locations. That sounds like a cinematic quest. It looks like at least in the War Mode, players will be able to fight as troops from the Axis powers. The War Mode will have one team defending their position, while the other advances.There is also an in game social hub of sorts called the Headquarters. This is the first time that such a capability has been included in the franchise. The Headquarters will allow gamers compete, earn rewards and showcase their achievements. Call of Duty WWII has been developed by Sledgehammer Games and is available for pre-order. The game is expected to land in November 2017, after a closed round of beta testing.
