Rolls Royce Cullinan makes its way to India with a price tag of Rs 6.95-crore

Rolls Royce is a name associated with automotive luxury and known for making some of the most luxurious limousines. But the company, in May, revealed its first SUV in its glorious history, that spans beyond 112 years, the Rolls Royce Cullinan.As per a report by Team-BHP, the Cullinan has been priced at Rs 6.95 crore (ex-showroom) and is powered by a 6.75-litre, twin-turbo V12 engine that puts out 570 PS at 5,000 rpm and 850 Nm of torque at 1,600 rpm.[caption id="attachment_5671091" align="alignnone" width="1280"] Rolls-Royce Cullinan. Image: Rolls Royce[/caption]The Rolls Royce Cullinan measures 5.3 metres in length, 2 metres in width and 1.8 metres in height. But the SUV isn't just a high-riding limousine with a new name. The SUV features a powerful design expressed through a classic three-box form. The tail protrudes out, while the long nose gives it a cab-rearward design typical to a Rolls Royce.For interiors, the Cullinan comes with a leather-wrapped dashboard with a wood trim and chrome AC vents. The SUV features come in a 4 or 5-seat configuration and also gets a rear partition wall that separates the passenger compartment from the luggage area.[caption id="attachment_5671101" align="alignnone" width="1280"] Rolls-Royce Cullinan rear. Image: Rolls Royce[/caption]The Cullinan weighs about 2,660 kilograms which makes it 200 kilograms heavier than the Bentley Bentayga but relatively light for its size.As per a report by Overdrive, the suspension is meant for smoother rides on regular roads rather than one meant for long travel. That said, the Cullinan proudly hints that it will do everything that a Range Rover can.Rolls Royce has even thrown in an 'Everywhere' mode to that effect, which alters chassis and drivetrain components to take on the trickier outdoors without spilling your expensive champagne.The Cullinan also has a water wading capability of 540 mm and for the first time on a Rolls Royce, a 4x4 drivetrain.
