Apple's iPad Air, iPad mini with Retina Display out in India on 7 Dec

Apple fanboys, save the date. Almost a month after the global launch, Apple has announced the launch of the iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina Display for India on December 7.Apple's authorised distribution partner Ingram Micro made this statement and also confirmed that the 16 GB Wi-Fi iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display will be available for Rs 35,900 and Rs 28,900 respectively.[caption id="attachment_1190725" align="alignleft" width="380"] Phil Schiller at the launch of iPad mini and iPad Air. Reuters[/caption]According to information received by NDTV gadgets, the 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB iPad Air Wi-Fi only models will be priced at Rs 42,900, Rs 49,900 and Rs 56,900, respectively. The 16 GB iPad Air with cellular connectivity will be priced at Rs 44,900. The 32GB, 64GB and 128GB models will be priced at Rs  51,900, Rs. 58,900 and Rs 65,900, respectively.Similarly, the 32GB, 64GB and 128GB iPad mini with Retina display Wi-Fi only models will be priced at Rs 35,900, Rs 42,900 and Rs 49,900, respectively. The 16GB iPad mini with Retina display and cellular connectivity will be priced at Rs 37,900. The 32GB, 64GB and 128GB models will be priced at Rs. 44,900, Rs. 51,900 and Rs 58,900, respectively.Apple is bringing the new iPads to India soon after Google launched the second-generation Nexus 7 tablet in the country. Though the two are competitors, Nexus 7 is a much cheaper, with a starting price of Rs 20,999. Whether or not the dates of this launch and Google's refreshed version of Nexus 10 coincide remains to be seen.
