Z-category security for Kejriwal? He denies it, says God is his security

Hours after The Indian Express reported that Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal had joined the list of Indian politicians accorded Z-category security and that he had accepted the security a few days before he resigned as chief minister of Delhi, Kejriwal responded on Twitter denying that he had accepted the offer of a security cordon around him.[caption id="attachment_1421847" align="alignleft" width="380"] Arvind Kejriwal during his Gujarat campaign. "I would urge  them to show me the letter of acceptance."He continued that he expects the media to show more "responsible behaviour" and not run "false and mischievous stories" against him.Soon after he was sworn in as chief minister, Delhi Police had insisted that he accept the security paraphernalia based on a threat perception, but he had stoutly refused. There is no danger to my life, he had maintained, on all three occasions that the Delhi Police raised the issue with him.According to The Indian Express report, Kejriwal accepted the security finally "around January 26", a few days before his resignation.The report quoted Special Commissioner of Police (Security) J K Sharma as confirming that Kejriwal had accepted security."A full team of around 25 policemen has been deployed to provide mobile as well as static security around his house," the report said, adding that according to the MHA's order, Delhi Police will provide security in the city while the state police concerned will take over when he travels outside Delhi.Here are Kejriwal's tweets in response to the report.
