BJP has won semifinal, Congress has been wiped out, says UP Dy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won the semifinals, ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, said Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya after early trends showed the party leading in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan Assembly Election results 2023."Congress has been wiped out and we are proud that we have won the semifinal (ahead of 2024 Lok Sabha polls)," Maurya said.Victory of PM Modi's leadershipTaking a dig at the grand old party, the BJP leader and Uttar Pradesh's Deputy CM said, "When Congress party loses, it blames EVM and when it wins, it says that BJP's policies were bad...This is BJP's 'vijay yatra'. We can proudly say that we have given a historic performance of the state election."As per early trends, the BJP has taken a comfortable lead in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, while also aiming to capture Chhattisgarh from Congress.
