From pop superstar to Barbie icon, Miley Cyrus has officially joined one of Mattel's most exclusive collectible line-ups.

The singer has been immortalised as the latest addition to the Barbie Signature Series, with the limited-edition doll drawing inspiration from her striking "Golden Burning Sun" look from her visual album Something Beautiful. The collectible is already generating buzz among fans and collectors alike.

In an exclusive first-look video shared by Billboard, Cyrus couldn't hide her excitement after seeing the finished doll for the first time. "I'm obsessed, love her!" she exclaimed.

The Grammy-winning singer revealed that she worked closely with Barbie's design team at Mattel to ensure the doll truly reflected her personality.

"Every little detail of this design was a dream," Cyrus said, explaining that she had input "down to the shape of the shoe" and "the hair dimension."

One accessory, however, was non-negotiable. "That was very important to me," she said, referring to the microphone the doll carries. "Having this microphone is so representative of not just the music but of having a voice," she added.

Inspired by 'Golden Burning Sun'

Mattel says the doll pays tribute to Cyrus' genre-defying career and cultural influence as a musician, actress and advocate for self-expression.

The collectible recreates her memorable Golden Burning Sun ensemble with remarkable attention to detail. It sports a head-to-toe faux-leather biker-inspired look featuring a black bralette, slim leather trousers, a dramatic oversized hooded jacket, pointed black pumps and oversized sunglasses. The doll is sculpted to resemble Cyrus and comes complete with an articulated body, microphone accessory, doll stand and a certificate of authenticity. It was designed by Javi Meabe under the premium Barbie Signature Black Label collection.

Speaking about the collaboration, Cyrus said the process reflected how she approaches her own art in a post on Instagram.

The caption read, "Barbie represents a personal dream of mine. She’s something I’ll never outgrow as she evolves with me. When I was little, I braided her hair and changed her outfits. As an adult, I treasure my collection I never take out of the box. Holding my Barbie in my hands is a true full circle moment."

She further wrote, "Now you have a little piece of me and every time you hold her, I hope you’re reminded that I’m rooting for you to chase your own dreams too. My Barbie, dressed in custom Alaïa for Golden Burning Sun, is available now."

A new addition to Barbie's music icons

Mattel says the doll celebrates Cyrus' "transformative sound and cultural footprint" across music, film and advocacy. The launch follows a landmark year for the singer, which included the debut of her latest album Something Beautiful and receiving her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Cyrus now joins an elite roster of musicians honoured with Barbie Signature dolls, including Mariah Carey, Aaliyah, Stevie Nicks and Kylie Minogue.

The Barbie Signature Miley Cyrus Doll is priced at USD 60 (approximately Rs. 5,100) on Mattel Creations and is available as a premium collectible, although early demand has already made it one of the brand's fastest-moving celebrity releases.
