He also said that the train driver and constable were injured, and that a passenger might be injured as well.“It is very unfortunate that the Maoists have begun attacking innocent people, trains and political rallies. We have already rushed CRPF and BSF personnel to the site of the attack...Our resolve against Naxals is unaffected and we will take all steps to take them on." Vinay Mittal, Chairman of the Indian Railways Board:“The train was halted for about an hour….Maoists had stopped the train and had done so to get the weapons that the RPF escort team that was on board...the guard of the train was injured in the attack along with a RPF constable who was on board the train and the duo have both sustained serious injuries...we have had tracks blown up in the area in the past and have had high security for trains passing through the area."East Central Railways General Manager Madhuresh Kumar:Madhuresh Kumar told Times Now that the train that was attacked by Maoists in Jamui has since left the venue.“The guard and a security personnel were injured in the attack...we have been told that at least 100 Maoists were involved in the attack.”
