UP man hangs self after killing wife over dispute

Gonda: A 45-year-old man allegedly died by suicide after strangling his wife after a dispute between them here, police said on Wednesday.While Sanjeev Singh was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his house in Makoia village, his wife Vandana Singh (42) was lying unconscious on the ground, they said.The deceased man's grandfather informed police that the incident took place after the couple had gone to sleep in their room on the upper floor of the house, Mankapur Circle Officer (CO) Sanjay Talwar said.Sanjeev, a liquor addict, allegedly died by suicide following a dispute, the CO said.Prima facie it appeared that Sanjeev hanged himself from the fan after strangling his wife to death, Talwar said.The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, he said, adding further investigation is underway.Vandana was posted as an ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery) at Primary Health Centre Babhnan.Read all the Latest News, Trending NewsCricket News, Bollywood News,India News and Entertainment News here.
