Three persons, including a Delhi Police official, sustained bullet injuries when unidentified persons opened fire inside the premises of East Delhi's Karkardooma Court on Wednesday.

New Delhi: Three persons, including a Delhi Police official, sustained bullet injuries when unidentified persons opened fire inside the premises of East Delhi's Karkardooma Court on Wednesday.The incident took place around 11 am when an undertrial was brought to court number 73 there, following which the unidentified persons, who were suspected to have been waiting to attack the undertrial, fired at least 10 rounds and fled,said a police official.[caption id="attachment_2556966" align="alignleft" width="380"]

IBN[/caption]Several police teams have been rushed to the spot and the injured persons taken to hospital, said DCP (East) B S Gurjar.Preliminary investigation reveals that the police official, who was escorting the undertrial, was hit by four bullets.Among others injured were the undertrial and a home guard posted at the court, the police added.
