Jharkhand resident BR Guha received quite a shock Sunday — pardon the pun — when he received an electricity bill of Rs 38 billion, according to media reports.Man receives electricity bill of Rs. 38 bn in JharkhandThe Jameshdpur-based Guha was handed the bill of Rs 38 billion by the Jharkhand Electricity Board, following which electricity was disconnected from his home.Talking to ANI, Guha expressed his surprise at the bill and wondered how he could have possibly racked up such a large bill in a three bedroom home.Guha says he is suffering from low blood pressure and his wife is a diabetic.Their daughter told ANI that the family filed a police complaint against the state’s electricity board with help from their neighbours.The case is being investigated, she said.
