Reader view: Shouldn't the UP sweeper be given a promotion?

Editors Note: In the great debate around UP's medical horrors, one of our readers brought out a provocative point about the initiative sweepers and support staff have taken in helping those in medical need. Perhaps we must invest in training these sweepers to become nurses and paramedics? The comment is reproduced below:Sreedhar:I find the coverage of this subject really lopsided. Shouldn't the sweeper be considered for a promotion?. Giving injections or even administering stiches is not a complex job. It is something that he would have learned over a period of time.
